offers 3-year Diploma Course(Full-time & residential) in Dramatic Arts. The course aims at development of theatre personality by imparting training in acting, design and other disciplines related to theatre.
Medium of Instruction: Hindi/English.
Eligibility: 1. Graduation in any subject from a recognized university in India. 2 Participation in at least 6 productions. 3. Working knowledge of Hindi and English. Age Limit 18 to 30 years. Upper age is relaxable by five years for SC/ST candidate only
Reservation for SC/ST Candidates: Out of 20 seats, 4 seats are reserved for SC/STs preferably from castes/tribes/communities and families traditionally connected with the performing arts. If no suitable candidates is available for admission from these categories, the seats are offered to suitable general candidate
Selection: The Expert Committees constituted by the school assess the aptitude and talent of the candidates & their decision is final .Any canvassing in this regard is treated as a disqualification. The School provides rigorous training which needs physical hard work to acquire professionalism. Sound health with medical fitness certificate from the school doctor and insurance company is one of the important requisite and pre conditions for admission
Centers for Preliminary Test: A preliminary test is conducted at four centers i.e Delhi,Kolkata,Bangalore and Mumbai. The Candidates qualifying in this test have to attend a workshop of 4/5 says I the school premises for their final selection for which they are paid D.A. and IInd class train or bus fare from the place of their residence to Delhi ad back by the shortest route, on submission of Ticket/Cash recipt and are provided accommodation on modest sharing basis
Scholarships: All selected students are given scholarships of Ra. 3000/-to meet their academic expenses.
